Have a go

Let's have a go.

Pick a question. Write your answer like you would on paper. I will show you the good bits and what to add.

?
Unsure how much to write? Tap here.
Write in full sentences. Say why, not just what.

If it says “explain”, join your ideas up: this happens → so this happens → so that is the answer.

Spelling never costs you a mark.

What you wrote
Nicely done. Keep all of this

Something to think about

Give it another go.

Keep this in mind
?
Why write the whole thing again?
The marks come from joining your ideas up. You only get better at that by writing the whole thing.

Adding one word to the end skips the bit you are practising.

This is how I would write it. Your teacher might say it differently. That is fine. Ask them if yours looks different.

Add your own
questions.

Type in any question from a paper and I will work out what it is testing and what a full answer needs. From there I can build fresh practice on the same idea.

?
Not sure what to add?
Anything from a worksheet, a past paper or a textbook. The quickest way is to take a photo. I read the question off the page. Your photo is never saved.

What's the question?

Take a photo of it, or type it in. I will work out the answer. You check it first.

If the question runs over two or three pages, pick all of them at once and I will read them as one question, parts and all.

Let me help you
remember.

Questions you found tricky come back on a schedule: tomorrow, then in three days, a week, a fortnight, a month. Say each answer out loud first. Saying it helps you remember it.

Answer a few questions first. Recall is built from the ones you got wrong.

What this tells you
If something comes back on your second try, you already knew it. It just needs saying more often. A quick practice round sorts that out. If it does not come back, the idea itself needs another look.

👋

Hello. I mark Science.

The kind of questions that ask you to explain something.

Write your answer in your own words. I will show you the good bits and what to add.

Two goes,
every time.

First go: I tell you what is missing. I never tell you the words.

Then you get something to think about, and you write it again.

Only after that do you see a full answer. The second go is where you learn, so I never skip it.

📷

Photograph
any question.

Point your camera at a worksheet or a past paper.

I read the question off the page and work out what a good answer needs.

Your photo is never saved.

Nothing gets
forgotten.

Everything you answer goes into your notebook with the date.

Your practice comes from the ones you found hardest.

There is a notes pad and some quiet music too.

🙂

Who are you?

Just so your work is yours. You can change this whenever you like.
